Some things to note

  • Most of my complaints were about a station or bus route I use every day, with some outliers.

  • There is not a complaint for each day of the year. Some days I did not use public transit and some days I did not have anything to submit a complaint for!

  • All complaints were submitted exclusively through the MTA’s official app using their chat function.

  • Their app and subsequent web portal to track complaints is bare bones and pretty glitchy.

  • I did this to demonstrate (even on a small level) how our subway cars, subway stations, buses and bus routes are neglected by the dysfunctional management of the MTA. Not to mention the amount of money wasted on “solutions” that do not help.

  • Keep in mind - these are only issues based on ONE person tracking them within a small geographical range. Now imagine the amount of neglect throughout the entire subway and bus system that is not being documented!

  • I am not a web designer. Apologies if this site is not cute or aesthetically pleasing. My main focus was getting the information out.
